Annabelle Donovan, BA, LLB

Annabelle Donovan is an Associate of Wirk Consulting, partnering with us on Strategy Formulation & Implementation projects with a specific focus on change management and people and culture. She is a retired executive who now serves as a Board member, consultant and executive coach specializing in strategic planning, organizational effectiveness, and change management. She is a certified coach (CPCC), change management practitioner (PROSCI Change Management) and certified non-profit Board member (Rothman Governance Essentials).

She has worked in public, private and not-for-profit sectors for over 25 years as a consultant and coach and has held senior management and Executive positions in Human Resources. Most recently, Annabelle served as the Vice President of Human Resources at TransLink. In that role, Annabelle was a member of the Senior Executive Committee, managing organizational risk and mitigation strategies for the TransLink family of companies serving over 8000 employees represented by 7 bargaining units. She led the delivery of Human Resources services including strategic human resource planning, succession planning, talent acquisition, Equity Diversity and Inclusion, workplace mental health, employee relations, labour relations, payroll, compensation and benefits.

As a consultant, Annabelle specializes in helping clients transform their people practices, taking an inclusive approach intended to build engagement along the way. Annabelle is quick to assess the current state, builds a plan to move things forward and supports leaders and employees in achieving results. She provides services in strategic planning, leadership development, engagement and culture, and leading change.

Annabelle began her career as a labour and employment lawyer. She went on to serve on the BC Labour Relations Board and the provincial Human Rights Advisory Committee.

Annabelle currently serves as a Board member with the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation Pacific Advisory Board, the North Shore Harvest Project, and the West Vancouver Library Board of Trustees. She was recently nominated for the King Charles III Coronation Medal which honors those making a difference in their communities.
